Ta-da! After much ballyhoo this is how the comic is going to appear in this newsletter. I took ALL feedback into consideration and made some adjustments to get it to look much better than even I had originally intended. I might make some more slight adjustments moving forward, but they will be incremental and you won’t ever notice them! *waves hands in hypnotic fashion*
If you gave me precious feedback and are reading this, thank you!!! You contributed to making this newsletter better and voiced some concerns I wouldn’t have considered otherwise.
Process:

From the Sketchbook:
Meet “Tater.” He didn’t immediately have a name, but I had written “cuter?” next to my little doodle and when I woke up the next day, in my half-asleep stupor, I briefly read it as “Tater.” It made way more sense than it had any right too, so we’re sticking with it. If you’ve been reading these newsletters you know I’ve had beetles on the brain lately. Will you ever find out why? Will you ever see Tater again? I can’t promise anything. But just stick around. Things are only gonna get cooler. At least, that’s what Tater would probably say. What a stud. Spud? What a spud.
See you next week, my dudes!
I’m teaching a pen and ink workshop at the Massillon Museum this next weekend. Be there!

I like the newspaper look! 👌
I like it! The colors are vibrant enough, the outline says you put work in this as opposed to just taken a photo, and you've preserved the charm of newspaper print.
