Time Travel & Nancy Fest
Time travel just seems like too much of a headache even if it was real. I have it hard enough with time moving in a straight line.
A Short Report from Nancy Fest
Last weekend I had the great privilege of attending “Nancy Fest” at the Ohio State University’s Billy Ireland Cartoon Library and Museum. Nancy is probably not a comic you hear much about, but it has a cult following as a real cartoonist’s cartoon. The show was incredible - It sold out! And I didn’t even know that was possible! I guess I’m lucky I got free VIP tickets through the National Cartoonists Society. The people in attendance were a murderer’s row of cartoonists and it was wild to be in the same room with them. They must have known I was going to be there because they included a library related Nancy comic in their exhibit.* And don’t worry, I’m taking notes!
Evidently this costume is on loan from one of the head curators. Meaning the people who run this museum were born to host this event. I heard it was used in the Macy’s day parade one year and it was purchased off of eBay.
Nancy Fest was ticketed, but if you are around Ohio State anytime soon, go check out the museum because the exhibit is FREE!
They really should make a videogame called, “Five Nights at Nancy’s.” I think it would be a big hit with the kids.
Have a great week and remember - Nancy is watching you!
